Our Mission

Our mission is to treat every woman, man and child of God with love, faith, and kindness according to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, while also building effective relationships within the community to identify, serve, and protect victims affected by the sex industry.

Sex trafficking is a growing problem that affects millions of people every year. According to the Human Trafficking Hotline, Florida ranks third in the U.S. for human trafficking cases reported by states, following California and Texas. The DEMP Project, a faith-based nonprofit organization established in 2015 in Jacksonville, Florida, is dedicated to rescuing human trafficking survivors enslaved in the sex trafficking industry. DEMP’s goal is to eradicate sex slavery and sex-for-sale businesses in our local community. We assist victims through various initiatives, including Project 1591 and The Soap Project, which aim to provide essential resources. Additionally, we offer transition housing, life coaching, employment skills, and other essentials for everyday life.

We go to local strip clubs twice a month to meet and minister to women in the industry, including human trafficking survivors, who are in desperate need of a Savior. Through our efforts, we also support initiatives like Project 1591 and The Soap Project, which provide essential resources and transition housing for these women.

Assuming the roles of sisters and mothers when there is no support, we provide love and understanding to human trafficking survivors in situations that seem hopeless. Through initiatives like Project 1591 and The Soap Project, we also aim to offer transition housing to those in need.

We stand in the gap to support human trafficking survivors as they find their identity and establish lasting relationships with our staff and their Lord and Savior, through initiatives like Project 1591 and The Soap Project, as well as providing essential transition housing.

We bring food, gifts, and religious materials with each visit to support human trafficking survivors. While we are in the clubs, we lend them an ear, offer lasting friendships, and focus on sharing the love of Jesus Christ through initiatives like Project 1591 and The Soap Project, while also highlighting the importance of transition housing.

When human trafficking survivors realize they no longer want that life, Project 1591 helps them find resources to transition out. These resources include assistance with school or college applications, employment opportunities, drug rehab programs, counseling services, and referrals for law and family attorneys, among others.
